I was born in West Allis, Wisconsin and moved with my family to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan when I was two and a half years old. I attended the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay for two and a half years where I majored in English-Creative Writing with a minor in Communications.

I returned to the Upper Peninsula and in-between several day jobs and about twenty years, I self-published my first novel, The Last Photograph.
